A mashup between random music and random images results in an oddly compelling and kind of scary A/V art piece. It really illustrates how much of an effect music has on the perception of images. It changes mood and even one’s sense of time. Try it with the sound off for a totally different feel.

Giant Photo Stitching Project from NASA

More than 800,000 frames from NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope were stitched together to create this infrared portrait of dust and stars radiating in the inner Milky Way. Individual full-res frames are available on the website. 800,000 frames were stitched together. Oy.
